Cooperation between Italy and Chad: course dedicated to international judicial cooperation, funded by Farnesina and coordinated by Sant'Anna School, concluded

Cooperation between Italy and Chad is consolidated, thanks to the contribution of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. For the fourth time, our country is organizing a training course directed to 20 Chadian magistrates and judges. On Monday, May 22, the new advanced training course coordinated by Andrea de Guttry, professor of International Law at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the collaboration of the Ministry of Justice of Chad, focused on international judicial cooperation, began.
This project aims to enhance the capacity of Chadian magistrates and prosecutors to collaborate with their colleagues around the world to strengthen the fight against terrorism and other crimes. The lectures aim to consolidate the knowledge of local magistrates regarding the national and international legal framework on international judicial cooperation, including through the analysis of practical cases, a fundamental tool for consolidating the rule of law in Chad and generally strengthening the fight against international crime. The course features Italian and African experts, including Alberto Perduca, an Italian magistrate and former prosecutor, and Alberto Pasquero, a lawyer and consultant.
The organization of this new advanced training course for Chad is part of the project "Strengthening the judicial systems of African countries through training (2022-23)", in which the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies has been engaged for several years in training and assistance activities in the Sahel region.
